Gruppo Cimbali Spa, considers safety at work, health and protection of the environment as essential reference values for its business activity, and undertakes in concrete terms and on a long-run basis to:

• guarantee working environments in compliance with the health and safety regulations; 
• implement the necessary preventive actions, monitoring and managing the risks connected with the company’s business activity;
• promote maximum participation of its employees and collaborators in all action designed to prevent and identify the sources of risk;
• inform and instruct all its workers, at the different levels of responsibility in the organisation, in observance of the health and safety regulations applicable to the activities carried out in the workplaces, training the workers to intervene also in abnormal and emergency conditions, thus minimising any harmful consequences.

Gruppo Cimbali Spa, via its Organisation and Structure, undertakes to:

• guarantee observance of the OHSAS 18001 Standard and the applicable legislative provisions concerning health and safety at work;
• pursue constant improvement in the effectiveness of the Safety Management System;
• guarantee the prevention of accidents that can cause injury and occupational diseases for the Workers;
• ensure a transparent collaborative relationship with all external parties who, in various capacities, are interested in the activities of the Company.

The above-mentioned undertakings can be achieved via the definition and attainment of specific objectives and goals that take account of the following general objectives which the Senior Management of Gruppo Cimbali Spa wishes to pursue:

• guarantee constant observance of the applicable legislative and normative prescriptions in addition to any non-binding agreements with which the Company has decided to comply;
• ensure careful and constant identification and evaluation of all risks to the health and safety of the persons who work for and on behalf of the Company;
• define and implement working procedures and methods in order to guarantee:

                                 
c.1. safety of the persons who work for and on behalf of the Company;

c.2. prevention of the onset of occupational diseases;

d) programme and implement measures to eliminate and, where elimination is not possible,  reduce the risks to the health and safety of the workers; 
e) guarantee the efficiency, reliability and safety of the machines, equipment, infrastructures and plants used, both considering the technological opportunities available at the time of purchase and guaranteeing appropriate control and maintenance measures;
f)  obtain maximum personnel collaboration in optimisation and improvement of safety at work via communication, information, consultation, participation, training and supervision;
g) promote collaboration and cooperation with its suppliers of products, activities and services in order to guarantee safety at work via procedures of evaluation, selection, communication, information and supervision; 
h) manage any accidents, injuries, occupational diseases, emergencies and non-conformities by investigation and analysis of the causes and the implementation of intervention, mitigation, correction and prevention;  
i) adopt appropriate systems for evaluation and monitoring of the Safety Management System to guarantee effectiveness and ongoing improvement.  

Gruppo Cimbali Spa believes that the pursuit of ongoing improvement can be triggered only by involvement of the company’s human resources: all levels of the Organisation are therefore required, in the ambit of the company structures for which they are directly responsible, to observe the provisions of the Company Safety System.
